Unusual lactam formation occurring in the synthesis of a biotinylated T-antigen-serine derivative
Bay, Sylvie,Berthier-Vergnes, Odile,Biberovic, Vesna,Cantacuzene, Daniele
, p. 25 - 31 (1997)
Synthesis of the biotinylated T-antigens, linked to a serine by an α (7α) or a β (7β) 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-D-galactoside bond, is described. These derivatives were needed for the detection of a specific endogenous lectin at the surface and/or on the migration pathway of melanoma cells. In the course of the synthesis, an unusual lactam formation was observed with the p anomer of the azido-disaccharide 5β.
Saccharide-induced peptide conformation in glycopeptides of the recognition region of LI-cadherin
Kuhn, Axel,Kunz, Horst
, p. 454 - 458 (2008/02/04)
(Chemical Equation Presented) The type and the size of the saccharide side chain can affect the conformation of the peptide portion of glycopeptides. This was shown by conformational analysis in solution for a series of glycoundecapeptides with systematic
