1257856-31-7 Usage
General Description
"(S)-N-Boc-2-cyanomorpholine" is a chemical compound often used in the pharmaceutical industry, specifically in the development and production of drugs. It contains an asymmetric carbon atom, meaning it is chiral and has two different forms, or enantiomers. Being a Boc-protected molecule, it is stable in neutral or weakly acidic solutions but can be easily deprotected under strong acidic conditions. It also contains a cyanide group, which is highly reactive, making it a useful building block for more complex compounds. Its morpholine ring adds solubility and polarity to molecules, beneficial properties in pharmaceuticals.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1257856-31-7 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,2,5,7,8,5 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1257856-31:
(9*1)+(8*2)+(7*5)+(6*7)+(5*8)+(4*5)+(3*6)+(2*3)+(1*1)=187
187 % 10 = 7
So 1257856-31-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Decarboxylative Cyanation of Aliphatic Carboxylic Acids via Visible-Light Flavin Photocatalysis
Ramirez, Nieves P.,K?nig, Burkhard,Gonzalez-Gomez, Jose C.
, (2019)
An operationally simple method is disclosed for the decarboxylative cyanation of aliphatic carboxylic acids at room temperature. Riboflavin tetraacetate, which is an inexpensive organic photocatalyst, promotes the oxidation of carboxylic acids upon visible-light activation. After decarboxylation, the generated radicals are trapped by TsCN, yielding the desired nitriles without any further additive, in a redox-neutral process. Importantly, this protocol can be adapted to flow conditions.
