A series of anthracene derivatives, 9,10-bis(bipyridyl, pyridylphenyl, phenylpyridyl, and biphenyl)anthracenes, were synthesized. They exhibited properties of small electron injection barrier from cathode in electron-only devices, high electron mobility f
