Used in Textile Industry:
Reactive Blue 74 is used as a dye for cotton or viscose fabrics. It is suitable for different dyeing techniques, such as disperse, roll, padding, and continuous dyeing processes. The dye provides good color fastness properties, including light fastness (ISO 6-7), oxygen bleaching (4-5), perspiration fastness (4-5), and soaping (4-5). However, it exhibits poor fastness to fading and staining in neutral and alkaline conditions (1-2 grade).
Preparation
1-Amino-4-bromo-9,10-dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracene-2-sulfonic acid and 3,5-Diamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzenesulfonic acid?condensation, ?and 2,4,6-Trichloro-1,3,5-triazine condensation, then ethoxylated.
