supporting information, p. 6508 - 6511 (2015/04/14)
The first nickel-catalyzed method for the borylation of carbon-hydrogen bonds in arenes and indoles is described. The use of an N-heterocyclic carbene ligand is essential for an efficient reaction, with an N-cyclohexyl-substituted derivative being optimal. This method is readily applied to the gram scale synthesis of 2-borylindole.
Transition metal-free synthesis of pinacol arylboronate: Regioselective boronation of 1,3-disubstituted benzenes
Wang, Yan,Wang, Le,Chen, Ling-Yan,Bhadury, Pinaki S.,Sun, Zhihua
, p. 675 - 678 (2014/05/06)
The regioselective synthesis of pinacol arylboronate has been achieved from 1,3-disubstituted benzene through directed ortho-metallation (DoM)-borylation sequence. A wide range of substituents and borylating reagents were investigated. In situ lithiation and subsequent boronation predominantly occurred at the ortho-position to afford the desired products in moderate yields. CSIRO 2014.
Efficient monophosphorus ligands for palladium-catalyzed miyaura borylation
Tang, Wenjun,Keshipeddy, Santosh,Zhang, Yongda,Wei, Xudong,Savoie, Jolaine,Patel, Nitinchandra D.,Yee, Nathan K.,Senanayake, Chris H.
supporting information; experimental part, p. 1366 - 1369 (2011/05/15)
In combination with the Bedford Pd precursor, the new biaryl monophosphorus ligand 5 was efficient for palladium-catalyzed Miyaura borylation of sterically hindered aryl bromides at low catalyst loadings.
