(1R)-1-(tetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-yl)ethanamine is used as a key intermediate in the synthesis of novel 3-quinoline carboxamides. These compounds are potent, selective, and orally bioavailable inhibitors of Ataxia Telangiectasia Mutated (ATM) Kinase, which plays a critical role in DNA damage response and cell cycle regulation.
