Thirteen new hydroxyethylamines have been synthesized from reactions of (2S,3S)Boc-phenylalanine epoxide, piperonylamine and arenesulfonyl chlorides in good yields. These compounds were evaluated as antibacterial agents against Mycobacterium tuberculosis
