Efficient, one-pot synthesis of pyrido[3,2-d ]pyrimidine derivatives

A mild and efficient method for the synthesis of pyrido[3,2-d]pyrimidine derivatives via three-component domino reaction of amines, aldehydes, and terminal unactivated alkynes is described using BF3OEt2 as Lewis acid catalyst in one pot. The features of this procedure are mild reaction conditions, good to high yields, and shorter reaction time with operational simplicity. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart.
