General Description

2-(tetrahydro-3-furanyl)ethanol, also known as 2-(THF) ethanol, is a chemical compound commonly used as a solvent in various industrial processes. It is a colorless liquid with a mild, pleasant odor and is soluble in water and many organic solvents. 2-(THF) ethanol is often used in the production of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and polymers.
