The present invention relates to oxazolopyrimidine compounds of the formula I, in which A, R1, R2, R3 and X are defined as indicated in the claims. The compounds of the formula I modulate the activity of the Edg-1 receptor and in particular are agonists of this receptor, and are useful for the treatment of diseases such as atherosclerosis, heart failure or peripheral arterial occlusive disease, for example.
