The reactions of 2-methyl-1,2,3-triazinium iodides and related compounds

The 2-methyl-1,2,3-triazinium iodides 2 reacted with various nucleophiles to give the corresponding 2,5-dihydroadducts. When 2 was treated with potassium superoxide, it was dimerized to 5,5'-bi(2-methyl-2,5-dihydrotriazinyl). The 2,5-dihydro-1,2,3-triazin
