The behavior of hydrophosphoryl compounds (dimethyl hydrogen phosphite and dibutylphosphinous acid) and α,β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds in the coordination sphere of transition metals was studied on iron carbonyl ? complexes as an example.Reactions uncommon for uncoordinated ligands were found to occur.Dimethyl hydrogen phosphite is stabilized in the form containing trivalent phosphorus, and dibutylphosphinous acid easily displaces chalcone from the coordination sphere of iron with simultaneous addition to the multiple bonds of chalcone.
