Reduced roughness for improved mobility in benzodipyrrolidone-based, n-type OFETS
Rumer,Rossbauer,Planells,Watkins,Anthopoulos,McCulloch
, p. 8822 - 8828 (2014)
A series of six phenyl-flanked benzodipyrrolidone-based copolymers are designed and synthesised: three exhibit backbone in-plane curvature or torsional twisting, while the other three remain planar and linear. While the former may appear less crystalline

The invention relates to novel polymers containing repeating units based on benzodifuran, benzodipyrrole or benzodithiophene, monomers and methods for their preparation, their use as semiconductors in organic electronic (OE) devices, especially in organic
Synthesis and optophysical properties of dimeric aza-BODIPY dyes with a push-pull benzodipyrrolidone core
Wang, Yafei,Chen, Long,El-Shishtawy, Reda M.,Aziz, Saadullah G.,Müllen, Klaus
supporting information, p. 11540 - 11542 (2015/03/31)
A series of benzodipyrrolidone-based dimeric aza-BODIPY dyes with a push-pull structure are synthesized. Single crystal X-ray diffraction demonstrates these extended aza-BODIPY dyes are planar. The resulting aza-BODIPY chromophores exhibit intense absorpt

Hong, Wei,Guo, Chang,Li, Yuning,Zheng, Yan,Huang, Chun,Lu, Shaofeng,Facchetti, Antonio
, p. 22282 - 22289 (2012/11/14)
Three novel benzodipyrrolinone-bithiophene based donor-acceptor polymers are synthesized and used as p-type semiconductors in organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs). Hole mobility of up to 0.03 cm2 V-1 s-1 is achieved. A ne
N-acylation: An effective method for reducing the LUMO energy levels of conjugated polymers containing five-membered lactam units
Deng, Ping,Liu, Lu,Ren, Shendong,Li, Hongxiang,Zhang, Qing
supporting information; scheme or table, p. 6960 - 6962 (2012/08/28)
N-acylation was studied as a method for reducing the LUMO energy levels of benzodipyrrolidone-based polymers. The N-acylated polymers showed reduced LUMO levels and improved reversibility of reductive doping compared with N-alkylated polymers. This method may also apply in other conjugated polymers with lactam repeating units.
