1336-17-0 Usage
Description
ACETONEPEROXIDES is a mixture of monomeric and linear dimeric acetone peroxides (mainly 2,2-hydroxyperoxypropane), with minor proportions of higher polymers, usually mixed with an edible carrier such as cornstarch. The cornstarch mixture is a fine, white, free-flowing powder with a sharp acrid odor similar to that of hydrogen peroxide when the container is first opened. It is a strong oxidizing agent and exposure to skin and eyes should be avoided.
Uses
Used in Food Industry:
ACETONEPEROXIDES is used as a bleaching agent, maturing agent, and dough conditioner for improving the quality and texture of various food products. Its strong oxidizing properties help in enhancing the appearance and shelf life of the products.
Used in Chemical Industry:
ACETONEPEROXIDES, due to their strong oxidizing nature, can be used in the chemical industry for various applications such as initiators in polymerization reactions, catalysts in organic synthesis, and as oxidizing agents in various chemical processes. However, it is essential to handle them with care due to their potential hazards.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1336-17-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,3,3 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1336-17:
(6*1)+(5*3)+(4*3)+(3*6)+(2*1)+(1*7)=60
60 % 10 = 0
So 1336-17-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
