Novel tricyclic substituted 5,6-dihydro-4H-[1,2,4]oxadiazolo[4,3-a][1,5] benzodiazepin-1-one derivatives were prepared by the thermal intramolecular cyclization of tetrahydro-1,5-benzodiazepin-2-one O-(ethoxycarbonyl)oximes. The latter were obtained from the corresponding hydroxyimino-1,5-benzodiazepines and ethyl chloroformate. ARKAT-USA, Inc.
