Uses
Used in Chemical Industry:
2-Chloroethylmethyldimethoxysilane is used as a chemical intermediate for the production of certain types of silicones or coating materials. Its unique reactivity, due to the presence of a chlorine atom, makes it a valuable component in the synthesis of these materials.
Used in Silicone Production:
2-Chloroethylmethyldimethoxysilane is used as a precursor in the synthesis of silicones, which are versatile polymers with a wide range of applications, including sealants, adhesives, and lubricants. 2-CHLOROETHYLMETHYLDIMETHOXYSILANE's reactivity contributes to the formation of the silicone polymers.
Used in Coating Materials:
2-Chloroethylmethyldimethoxysilane is used as a component in the formulation of coating materials, where its reactivity and stability contribute to the development of high-quality coatings with desired properties, such as durability and resistance to environmental factors.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 13508-51-5 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,3,5,0 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 13508-51:
(7*1)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*0)+(3*8)+(2*5)+(1*1)=85
85 % 10 = 5
So 13508-51-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

The present invention relates to new compositions and methods for the regulation of plant growth, especially for prevention of lodging, promotion of fruit abscission, acceleration of ripening and sap flow, breaking of seed dormancy, advancement of sprouting, inhibition of germination and rhizome development or inhibition by utilizing a coacting mixture of a N-heterocyclic amide having one hetero-nitrogen atom per 5- or 6- membered ring and a haloalkyl silane having the formula: STR1 wherein X is a chlorine, bromine or iodine atom; Y and Z are each independently --OR; halogen; alkenyl of 3 to 8 carbon atoms or alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, both optionally substituted with halogen, lower alkoxy or phenyl; benzyl or phenyl, both optionally substituted with halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; and R is hydrogen; alkenyloxy of 2 to 8 carbon atoms or alkyl of 1 to 12 carbon atoms, both optionally substituted with halogen, or alkoxy; benzyl or phenyl, both optionally substituted with halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy and mixtures of said silanes and said amides.
