New substituted urea compounds of formula I, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof: STR1 wherein A is STR2 wherein R3 is an oxadiazol, substituted with C1-8 -alkyl, C2-8 -alkenyl, C2-8 alkynyl, C3-7 cycloalkyl, benzyl, phenyl, C1-6 -alkoxy, C1-6 -alkylthio, amino or alkylamino; R2 is --H or lower alkyl; X is O or S; and R1 is a group of formula II, III, IV or V STR3 where n is 2 or 3, p is 1 or 2, q is 1 to 3, r is 1-3 and R4 and R5 are H, C1-7 alkyl or C3-6 cycloalkyl; and N-oxides thereof. The compounds are useful in pharmaceutical preparations for treating psychotic disorders, nausea and vomiting.
