For the synthesis of 1,3-alkadiene-2-phosphonates, the oxidative chlorophosphorylation of allyl chlorides has been carried out, leading to the formation of 1,4-dichloroalkane-2-dichlorophosphonates.By the action of triethylamine on these compounds, one mole of HCl is eliminated from the 1-2 position.In order to obtain 1,3-diene systems, the 4-chloro-1-alkene-2-dichlorophosphonates that had been obtained in this manner were converted to the corresponding diethyl phosphonates, and a second mole of HCl was eliminated by the action of sodium tert-butylate.The structures of the intermediate and final products were established by means of 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. 1H-(31P) INDOR spectroscopy, and mass spectrometry.
