By the epoxidation of 1H-heptafluoro-2-butene with an aqueous solution of sodium hypochlorite in presence of acetonitrile 2,3-epoxy-1H-heptafluorbutane was synthesized.The regiospecificity of the opening of its epoxide ring by nucleophilic and electrophilic reagents was shown.
