The 4- and 5-bromopyridazine-3,6-diones in reactions with arenethiols in DMF or in DMF/TEA gave ipso and cine substitution products.The competitive mechanism of SN(AE)ipso and SN(AE)cine was examined in deuteriated methanol.It was proved that in pyridazine-3,6-dione ring the carbon C-4 is more favourable to the nucleophilic substitution reactions than carbon C-5.
