The reactions of the cyclodiphosphazane, cis-tBuNP(OPh)>2(L) with M(CO)6 (M = Cr, Mo or W) as well as PdII and PtII derivatives afford mononuclear complexes of the type (M = Cr, Mo or W) and (M = Pt or Pd) in which the cyclodiphosphazane acts as a monodentate ligand.Reactions with RhI derivatives yield the complexes (COD = 1.5-cyclooctadiene) and 2 in which the cyclodiphosphazane exhibits monodentate and bridged-bidentate modes of coordination, respectively. The structures of the complexes have been deduced mainly from 31P NMR spectroscopic data.
