Bernlind, Christian,Oscarson, Stefan
, p. 251 - 260 (2007/10/03)
Syntheses are described of the tetrasaccharide 2-(4-trifluoroacetamidophenyl)ethyl O-(β-D-galactopyranosyl)-(1 → 2)-O-(L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranosyl)-(1 → 2)-O-(L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranosyl)-(1 → 3)-L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranoside (20) and the three trisaccharides 2-(4-trifluoroacetamidophenyl)ethyl O-(L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranosyl)-(1 → 2)-O-(L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranosyl)-(1 → 3)-L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranoside (17), 2-(4-trifluoroacetamidophenyl)ethyl O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-(1 → 4)-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-(1 → 4)-L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranoside (5), and 2-(4-trifluoroacetamidophenyl)ethyl O-(β-D-galactopyranosyl)-(1 → 4)-O-(β-D-glucopyranosyl)-(1 → 4)-L-glycero-α-D-manno-heptopyranoside (8), corresponding to structures found in the lipooligosaccharides of Haemophilus influenzae.
Synthesis of LD-Hepp and KDO containing di- and tetrasaccharide derivatives of Neisseria meningitidis inner-core region via iodonium ion promoted glycosidations
Boons, G.J.P.H.,Delft, F. L. van,Klein, P. A. M. van der,Marel, G. A. van der,Boom, J. H. van
, p. 885 - 904 (2007/10/02)
The synthesis of methyl(ethyl) 2-thio-KDO (i.e. 1, 2, 5, 7 and 10) and ethyl 1-thio-LD-Hepp (i.e. 26 and 43) derivatives will be described.The latter derivatives proved to be suitable donors in iodonium ion (NIS/TfOH) promoted glycosidation reactions.The
