Simple and efficient: The first highly enantioselective aza-Morita-Baylis-Hillman reaction between acrylonitrile and imines has been developed. Excellent yields and enantioselectivities were observed for the reaction of various imines using chiral phebim/PdII complexes (1; see scheme). This process offers a simple and efficient route for the synthesis of functionalized α-methylene-β-aminonitriles and their derivatives. Copyright
