Enantioselective synthesis and stereoselective ring opening of N-acylaziridines

Kinetic resolution of N-acylaziridines by nucleophilic ring opening was achieved with (R)-BINOL as the chiral modifier under boron-catalyzed conditions (see scheme; Ar=3,5-dinitrophenyl).
