Ziaullah,Rupasinghe, H.P. Vasantha
, p. 17 - 25 (2016/02/05)
This work compares a highly efficient and alternative method of sonication-assisted lipase catalyzed acylation of quercetin-3-O-glucoside and phloretin-2′-glucoside, using Candida antarctica lipase B (Novozyme 435), with a range of fatty acids.

Paragraph 0084, (2015/02/25)
The present specification is directed to an acylated flavonoid derivative derived from natural or synthetic flavonoids and fatty acids. The acylated flavonoid derivatives can be part of a pharmaceutical composition. Method of decreasing proliferation and viability of cancer cells in a subject include administering the disclosed pharmaceutical composition.
An efficient microwave-assisted enzyme-catalyzed regioselective synthesis of long chain acylated derivatives of flavonoid glycosides
Ziaullah,Rupasinghe, H. P. Vasantha
, p. 1933 - 1937 (2013/04/23)
This work describes a method of microwave-assisted regioselective enzymatic acylation, using Novozyme 435, of quercetin-3-O-glucoside (isoquercitrin) and phloretin-20-glucoside (phloridzin) with different long chain saturated, mono-, and poly-unsaturated fatty acids. The synthesized esters were analyzed by 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectroscopy. In this investigation, microwave irradiation under solvent free condition has been found to be more efficient and economical than conventional conditions both, in terms of time and energy.
