Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 14206-62-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,4,2,0 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 14206-62:
(7*1)+(6*4)+(5*2)+(4*0)+(3*6)+(2*6)+(1*2)=73
73 % 10 = 3
So 14206-62-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Layered yttrium hydroxide composite as supersensitive fluorescent sensor on Fe(III) ions

Li, Jian,Liang, Zupei,Ma, Shulan,Su, Feifei,Yao, Huiqin

, (2020/12/02)

The synthesized HN/OS-LYH composite (HN: 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid, OS: 1-octane sulfonate, LYH: layered yttrium hydroxide) demonstrates tuned luminescence performance and sensitive recognition capability for Fe3+. In solid state, the HN/OS-LYH presents a green emission of 505 nm, with 40 nm blue shift relative to the 545 nm green emission of free HN-Na salt; under delamination in formamide (FM), the HN/OS-LYH displays a blue emission of 480 nm in contrast to a 515 nm emission of HNˉ in FM solution. The delaminated HN/OS-LYH exhibits excellent recognition capability towards Fe3+ with distinct fluorescence quenching. For Fe3+, a much large quenching constant of 3.85 × 103 M?1 and an extremely low detection limit of 1.14 × 10-8 M are achieved. The HN/OS-LYH is expected to be a “turn-off” type fluorescent sensor for Fe3+ detection. This work may provide new ideas for design of novel LRH composites which can be applied on fluorescent sensoring.

Crystal of 2-hydroxynaphthalene-3-carboxylic acid and process for the preparation thereof

-

, (2008/06/13)

The present invention provides crystalline 2-hydroxynaphthalene-3-carboxylic acid (BON) characterized in that the average particle size is equal to or more than 157 μm and the proportion of the particles of which particle size is less than 74 μm is equal to or less than 14%. The crystalline composition of the present invention can be prepared by a process comprising the step of recrystallizing BON, especially at a high temperature, or by carrying out the acid precipitation step in the method for preparing BON at a high temperature.

Process for the preparation of pure, aromatic o-hydroxy-carboxylic acid aryl amides

-

, (2008/06/13)

Process for the preparation of pure aromatic o-hydroxy-carboxylic acid aryl amides by condensing an aromatic o-hydroxy-carboxylic acid with an aryl amine in the presence of phosphorus chlorides in an organic solvent or diluent, which process comprises treating the reaction mixture or the reaction product with 1 to 25 %, calculated on the weight of the reaction product, of an aliphatic amino-polycarboxylic acid as chelate forming agent. It is not necessary to purify the products, because they are obtained in such a pure form that they can be used directly as coupling components for azo pigments.
