1426400-93-2 Usage

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1426400-93-2 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,4,2,6,4,0 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1426400-93:
(9*1)+(8*4)+(7*2)+(6*6)+(5*4)+(4*0)+(3*0)+(2*9)+(1*3)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 1426400-93-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Huenlich base: (Re)discovery, synthesis, and structure elucidation after a century

Rigol, Stephan,Beyer, Lothar,Hennig, Lothar,Sieler, Joachim,Giannis, Athanassios

, p. 1418 - 1420 (2013)

After almost 100 years, the structure of the product of the reaction between 2,4-diaminotoluene and formaldehyde was elucidated: derivative 3, which we call the Huenlich base, was synthesized on a multigram scale and its enantiomers were easily separated in preparative amounts. Furthermore, transformation of the NH2 groups to the corresponding bis-iodides and bis-azides is presented. The latter was also used for desymmetrization by click chemistry.
