Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 146724-14-3 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,4,6,7,2 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 146724-14:
(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*2)+(3*4)+(2*1)+(1*4)=133
133 % 10 = 3
So 146724-14-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A series of novel 2-pyridyl-2-thiobenzothiazole compounds was prepared and investigated by a number of in vitro methods in order to determine their anti-inflammatory properties. Results are discussed with reference to well known NSAIDs. (3-carboxy-2-pyridyl)-2-thiobenzothiazole had the most potent antiinflammatory activity, being 1.34 times more active than indomethacin used as reference compound.
