Reduction of 7-nitro-1,3,5-triazaadamantane with hydrazine hydrate in the presence of Raney nickel gave 7-hydroxyamino- and 7-amino-1,3,5-triazaadamantane, from which 7-chloro-, 7-bromo-, and 7-thiocyanato-1,3,5-triazaadamantanes were synthesized by substitutive deamination.Desulfurization of 7-thiocyanato-1,3,5-triazaadamantane in the presence of Raney nickel gave 1,3,5-triazaadamantane.

The invention also relates with the medication applications of anti-tumor and other diseases by this kind of compounds with the combination of S, P, T structures containing adamantyl group and the formation of stereoisomer, tautomers, prodrug, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, complex salts or solvates to their anticancer application and anticancer agents, which have the following general formula:

A series of high-density 7-(N-methyl-N-alkylamino)-1,3,5 triazaadamantanesre prepared. The preparation involves first adding the alkyl group to the parent amine by reacting the amine with a suitable aldehyde and hydrogen in the presence of a platinum catalyst and then reacting the thus produced secondary amine with formaldehyde and hydrogen in the presence of a nickel catalyst to produce the final product. The series represents a new class of fuels which is particularly useful in volume-limited applications.
