Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 147223-89-0 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,4,7,2,2 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 147223-89:
(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*7)+(5*2)+(4*2)+(3*3)+(2*8)+(1*9)=130
130 % 10 = 0
So 147223-89-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of new potent and selective aromatase inhibitors based on long-chained diarylalkylimidazole and diarylalkyltriazole molecule skeletons

Karjalainen, Arto,Kalapudas, Arja,Soedervall, Marja,Pelkonen, Olavi,Lammintausta, Risto

, p. 109 - 131 (2007/10/03)

A series of long-chained diarylalkylimidazoles and diarylalkyltriazoles were synthesized and evaluated for the inhibitory potency for aromatase (estrogen synthetase) activity in human placental microsomes. The relative specificity of inhibition was evaluated by measuring the inhibition of cholesterol side-chain cleavage enzyme (desmolase) in human placental mitochondria and the inhibition of 7-ethoxycoumarin O-deethylase (a typical drug-metabolizing enzyme activity) in rat liver microsomes. The structural requirements including substituent effects for the strongest potency and for the highest specificity were delineated. α,ω-Diarylalkyltriazoles and imidazoles were the most interesting molecules, in which the geometric and optical isomerism displayed remarkable selectivity for aromatase inhibition.
