The stereocontrolled synthesis of (+)-tetrahydropseudodistomin (3) from D-serine features the use of the dibenzyltriazone group for amino protection and establishes the absolute stereochemistry of the naturally occuring calmodulin antagonists pseudodistomin A and B (1 and 2b, respectively).
