148619-41-4 Usage
Uses
Different sources of media describe the Uses of 148619-41-4 differently. You can refer to the following data:
1. Ternatin heptapeptide is a cyclic peptide antifungal metabolite, first isolated from the fungus Didymocladium ternatum in Russia in 1974. More recently, Ternatin heptapeptide has been demonstrated to be a potent inhibitor of fat accumulation in 3T3-L1 murine adipocytes. Note that this metabolite should not be confused with the plant flavonoid of the same name.
2. Ternatin is an inhibitor of fat accumulation in 3T3-L1 murine adipocytes..
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 148619-41-4 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,4,8,6,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 148619-41:
(8*1)+(7*4)+(6*8)+(5*6)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*4)+(1*1)=154
154 % 10 = 4
So 148619-41-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Convergent synthesis and in vivo inhibitory effect on fat accumulation of (-)-ternatin, a highly N-methylated cyclic peptide
Shimokawa, Kenichiro,Yamada, Kaoru,Kita, Masaki,Uemura, Daisuke
, p. 4447 - 4449 (2007)
(-)-Ternatin (1), a highly N-methylated cyclic heptapeptide, is a potent inhibitor of fat accumulation against 3T3-L1 murine adipocytes (EC50 = 0.14 μg/mL) [Shimokawa, K.; Mashima, I.; Asai, A.; Yamada, K.; Kita, M.; Uemura, D. Tetrahedron Lett. 2006, 47, 4445]. Compound 1 was synthesized from Boc-protected amino acids in solution. Upon treatment with 1 at 5 mg/kg/day, increases in body weight and fat accumulation in high-fat-fed mice were both significantly suppressed.
