2-Acetamido-3,4,6-tri-O-benzoyl-2-deoxy-α-D-mannopyranosyl H-phosphonate has been obtained, and the first syntheses from it have been made of glycosyl phosphosugars containing N-acetylmannosamine residues - the phosphodiesters ManNAc(α)-P-6Man(α)Me, an analog of a fragment of lysosomal glycoproteins, and ManNAc(α)-P-6ManNAc(α)Np, a derivative of a fragment of the capsular antigen of microorganism Neisseria meningitidis A.
