1490-19-3 Usage
General Description
2,2'-Azobis[2-methyl-1-propanol]diacetate, also known as AIBA, is a commonly used free radical initiator in the polymerization and crosslinking of polymers. It is a colorless, odorless, and stable crystalline solid that is soluble in organic solvents. AIBA decomposes at temperatures above 60°C, releasing free radicals that initiate polymerization reactions in the presence of monomers and can be used in the production of various polymers including acrylics, vinyls, and elastomers. It is considered to be a safer alternative to other radical initiators due to its relatively low decomposition temperature and low toxicity. Additionally, AIBA is often used in the production of various consumer products including adhesives, coatings, and foams.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 1490-19-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 1,4,9 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1490-19:
(6*1)+(5*4)+(4*9)+(3*0)+(2*1)+(1*9)=73
73 % 10 = 3
So 1490-19-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
