The reactions of salicylaldehyde 4-methoxybenzoyl hydrazone, , o-hydroxyacetophenone 4-methoxybenzoylhydrazone, , and diacetylmonoxime 4-methoxybenzoylhydrazone, with NiCl2*6H2O, Ni(OAc)2*4H2O, and Ni(acac)2*H2O under varied reaction conditions have been studied.Many octahedral and square planar Ni(II) complexes have been isolated which have been characterised by elemental analyses, molar conductance values, molecular weights, magnetic susceptibilities and spectroscopic (electronic and IR) data.
