Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 150044-51-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,5,0,0,4 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 150044-51:
(8*1)+(7*5)+(6*0)+(5*0)+(4*4)+(3*4)+(2*5)+(1*1)=82
82 % 10 = 2
So 150044-51-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A SECOIRIDOID GLUCOSIDE FROM FRAXINUS INSULARIS

Tanahashi, Takao,Shimada, Atsuko,Nagakura, Naotaka,Inoue, Kenichiro,Kuwajima, Hiroshi,et al.

, p. 397 - 400 (1993)

A new secoiridoid glucoside, insularoside, was isolated from Fraxinus insularis. The structural elucidation of insularoside by spectroscopic and chemical studies is described. The biogenesis of this glucoside is also briefly discussed. Key words: Fraxinus insularis; Oleaceae; leaves; secoiridoid glucoside; insularoside.

Isolation of oleayunnanoside from Fraxinus insularis and revision of its structure to insularoside-6'''-O-β-D-glucoside

Tanahashi,Shimada,Nagakura,Inoue,Kuwajima,Takaishi,Chen,He,Yang

, p. 1649 - 1651 (2007/10/02)

A secoiridoid glucoside, insularoside-6'''-O-β-D-glucoside, was isolated along with 9 known compounds from the leaves of Fraxinus insularis and its structure was determined to be 2 on the basis of spectroscopic and chemical studies. Direct comparison of this glucoside with a known secoiridoid glucoside, oleayunnanoside, led to the conclusion that the two were identical, and that the proposed structure 2a for oleayunnanoside should be revised to 2.
