Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1535202-64-2 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,5,3,5,2,0 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1535202-64:
(9*1)+(8*5)+(7*3)+(6*5)+(5*2)+(4*0)+(3*2)+(2*6)+(1*4)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 1535202-64-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of a DNA promoter segment containing all four epigenetic nucleosides: 5-methyl-, 5-hydroxymethyl-, 5-formyl-, and 5-carboxy-2′- deoxycytidine

Schroeder, Arne S.,Steinbacher, Jessica,Steigenberger, Barbara,Gnerlich, Felix A.,Schiesser, Stefan,Pfaffeneder, Toni,Carell, Thomas

, p. 315 - 318 (2014/01/17)

A 5-formyl-2′-deoxycytidine (fdC) phosphoramidite building block that enables the synthesis of fdC-containing DNA with excellent purity and yield has been developed. In combination with phosphoramidites for 5-methyl-dC, 5-hydroxymethyl-dC, and carboxy-dC, it was possible to prepare a segment of the OCT-4 promoter that contains all four epigenetic bases. Because of the enormous interest in these new epigenetic bases, the ability to insert all four of them into DNA should be of great value for the scientific community. Biologically relevant promoter segments with all four epigenetic nucleosides are finally accessible by solid-phase synthesis. With the fdC-phosphoramidite building block introduced herein, no side reactions of 5-formylcytosine were observed. Furthermore, mild deprotection conditions prevented oxidative or reductive lesions, which was proven by detailed mass spectrometric analysis. Copyright
