Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 155269-58-2 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,5,5,2,6 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 155269-58:
(8*1)+(7*5)+(6*5)+(5*2)+(4*6)+(3*9)+(2*5)+(1*8)=152
152 % 10 = 2
So 155269-58-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Platinum(ii) complexes with bidentate NN and tridentate NNO ligands for C-H bond activation

Duin, Marcel A.,Ernsting, Jan M.,Elsevier, Cornelis J.

, p. 764 - 784 (2008/12/22)

A series of neutral and cationic methylplatinum(II) complexes with bidentate NN and tridentate NNO ligands has been prepared. The complexes involving tridentate NNO ligands were expected to be easier to handle than those with NN ligands, which has indeed

Ag+-Specific Pyridine Podands: Effects of Ligand Geometry and Stereochemically Controlled Substitution on Cation Complexation and Transport Functions

Tsukube, Hiroshi,Shinoda, Satoshi,Uenishi, Jun'Ichi,Hiraoka, Takao,Imakoga, Takahiro,Yonemitsu, Osamu

, p. 3884 - 3894 (2007/10/03)

A new series of acyclic podands was designed so that three pyridine moieties cooperatively bind a guest Ag+. Liquid-liquid extraction, NMR binding, and computer calculation experiments reveal that podands with three pyridine donors in a proper geometry exhibit a perfect Ag+ specificity. They selectively extracted Ag+ in the presence of equimolar Pb2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Co2+, and Zn2+. Introduction of two chiral centers close to the pyridine binding sites surprisingly influences the Ag+-binding ability of the podand. Fourteen new pyridine podands were evaluated as carriers in a liquid membrane transport system. A combination of ligand geometry and stereocontrolled substitution provides excellent Ag+-speeific transport.
