A convenient synthesis of heteroquaterphenoquinones including novel nitrogen- and selenium-containing quinones with characteristic properties
Takahashi, Kazuko,Gunji, Atsushi
, p. 941 - 944 (2007/10/03)
A series of heteroquaterphenoquinones including novel biselenieno- and bi-N-methylpyrrolo-quinonoid incorporated quinones have been synthesized by a novel one-pot oxidative homocoupling reaction of heterocycle-substituted phenols.Characteristic properties adequate for using as functional materials have been clarified.
Synthesis of novel heteroquaterphenoquinones and their electrochemical, structural, and spectroscopic characterization
Takahashi, Kazuko,Gunji, Atsushi,Yanagi, Kazunori,Miki, Misao
, p. 4784 - 4792 (2007/10/03)
Novel heteroquaterphenoquinones, 5,5′-bis(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-oxo-2,5-cyclohexadien-1-ylidene)-5,5′- dihydro-2,2′-bithienyl (3) and its 2,2′-biselenienyl (4), 2,2′-bifuryl (5), and 2,2′-bi-N-methylpyrrolyl (6) analogues, were synthesized by a stepwise cro
Novel Amphoteric 2,5-Furoquinonoid-Containing p-Terphenoquinone Analogues Giving Both a Stable Radical Anion and a Stable Radical Cation
Takahashi, Kazuko,Gunji, Atsushi,Akiyama, Kimio
, p. 863 - 866 (2007/10/02)
Novel p-terphenoquinone analogues incorporating a central dihydrofurandiylidene skeleton have been synthesized. These quinones gave a stable radical kation and a stable radical anion on one-electron redox reactions showing an amphoteric property even though they do not contain any sulfur atom as an integral component. The radical cation and the radical anion of the tetra-t-butyl derivative have been characterized by EPR spectroscopy.
