3,3,10-Trimethyl-3H-naphthopyran under acid conditions gave a dimer of different structure to those obtained from related naphthopyrans, but 10-methyl-3,3-diphenyl-3H-naphthopyran reacted with 1,1-diphenylethane under acid conditions to give an adduct similar to those obtained from related diarylnaphthopyrans.
