D-myo-Inositol 1,3,4,5-tetrakisphosphate [Ins(1,3,4,5)P4] is produced rapidly from the established second messenger D-myo-inositol 1,4,5trisphosphate [Ins(1,4,5)P4] in stimulated cells. Despite extensive investigations, in particular

From EXEMP_CLAIMS : 1. Deoxycyclitol derivatives, characterised in that they correspond to the general formula: in which R1represents a hydrogen atom, a linear or branched alkyl group having up to 8 carbon atoms or a protecting group of the hydroxyl groups, R2represents hydrogen or a residue of formula -P(O)(OR6)2, in which R6has the meaning shown above for R1 and is identical to the latter or different from the latter, R4represents a residue of formula -OP(O)(OR7)2 or A-O-, in which R7also has the meaning shown above for R1 and is identical to the latter or different from the latter, Arepresents a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched alkyl group having up to 10 carbon atoms or a linear or branched acyl group having up to 18 carbon atoms, R3has the meaning shown above for R4 and is identical to the latter or different from the latter or represents a hydrogen atom, R5represents a group of formula -OP(O)(OR8)2 or -CH2P(O)(OR9)2, in which R8 and R9are identical or different and have the meaning shown above for R1, and their salts, with the condition that, when 2 or 3 of the substituents shown above represent the protecting group of the hydroxyl groups, the remaining substituents must not represent the residues of phosphoric acid -OP(O)(OH)2 or -P(O)(OH)2, and R1 must not represent hydrogen when R2 represents the group of formula -P(O)(OH)2 and R3, R4 and R5 each represent the group of formula -OP(O)(OH)2.
