Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 160847-27-8 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 1,6,0,8,4 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 160847-27:
(8*1)+(7*6)+(6*0)+(5*8)+(4*4)+(3*7)+(2*2)+(1*7)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 160847-27-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A Convenient One-pot Synthesis of Polyenic Enol Ethers

Vo-Quang, Yen,Carniato, Denis,Vo-Quang Liliane,Goffic, Francois Le

, p. 1505 - 1506 (1983)

Diethyl alkoxymethylphosphonates react with unsaturated aldehydes to give polyenic enol ethers with a good stereoselectivity.

Visible-Light Controlled Divergent Catalysis Using a Bench-Stable Cobalt(I) Hydride Complex

Beltran, Frédéric,Bergamaschi, Enrico,Teskey, Christopher J.

supporting information, p. 5180 - 5184 (2020/04/22)

While the use of visible light in conjunction with transition metal catalysis offers powerful opportunities to switch between on/-off states of catalytic activity, the next frontier would be the ability to switch the actual function of the catalyst and resulting products. Here we report such an example of multi-dimensional catalysis. Featuring an easily prepared, bench-stable cobalt(I) hydride complex in conjunction with pinacolborane, we can switch the reaction outcome between two widely employed transformations, olefin migration and hydroboration, with visible light as the trigger.

Encapsulated molecular catalysts in polysiloxane gels: Ruthenium cluster-catalyzed isomerization of alkenes

Motoyama, Yukihiro,Abe, Motonori,Kamo, Kazuyuki,Kosako, Yusuke,Nagashima, Hideo

supporting information; experimental part, p. 5321 - 5323 (2009/03/11)

Novel ruthenium-encapsulating polysiloxane gels are prepared by treatment of polymethylhydrosiloxane with diols in the presence of (μ3, η2,η3,η5-acenaphthylene)Ru 3(CO)7, and act as reusable catalysts in the isomerization of alkenes without leakage of the catalyst species.
