Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 1609281-08-4 includes 10 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 7 digits, 1,6,0,9,2,8 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 1609281-08:
(9*1)+(8*6)+(7*0)+(6*9)+(5*2)+(4*8)+(3*1)+(2*0)+(1*8)=164
164 % 10 = 4
So 1609281-08-4 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

NHC-Copper(I) Halide-Catalyzed Direct Alkynylation of Trifluoromethyl Ketones on Water

Czerwiński, Pawe?,Molga, Edyta,Cavallo, Luigi,Poater, Albert,Michalak, Micha?

, p. 8089 - 8094 (2016)

An efficient and easily scalable NHC-copper(I) halide-catalyzed addition of terminal alkynes to 1,1,1-trifluoromethyl ketones, carried out on water for the first time, is reported. A series of addition reactions were performed with as little as 0.1-2.0?mo

Copper(I)/N-Heterocyclic Carbene (NHC)-catalyzed addition of terminal alkynes to trifluoromethyl ketones for use in continuous reactors

Correia, Camille A.,McQuade, D. Tyler,Seeberger, Peter H.

supporting information, p. 3517 - 3521 (2014/01/06)

A copper(I)/N-heterocyclic carbene complex-catalyzed addition of terminal alkynes to trifluoromethyl ketones at low loading is described. The developed process functions well using a range of terminal alkynes but functions best when an aryl trifluoromethyl ketone is used. This substrate scope is well-suited for the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) such as efavirenz. In this vein, we demonstrate that the described method can be translated into a flow process laying the framework for a completely continuous synthesis of efavirenz in the future. Copyright
