By the reaction of tris(acetylacetonato)vanadium(III) with tridentate diacidic ligands non-oxo vanadium(IV) complexes of these lignad were synthesized. The complexes were characterized by mass spectrometry. Electrochemical studies show that the complexes are reversibly oxidized or reduced. Bis[2,2'-dihydroxy-azobenzenato(2-)]vanadium(IV) has a distorted trigonal-prismatic structure. Crystallographic data see "Inhaltsuebersicht".
