The water-soluble phosphorus complexes of bis(o-carboxyphenylaminomethyl)phenylphosphine with the platinum(II), palladium(II), and copper(I) halides, as well as with nickel(0) carbonyl, were synthesized (the ratio between metal and ligand was 1 : 2). The O,N-chelate compounds representing the metal-containing cyclic phosphines were obtained upon the interaction of bis(o-carboxyphenylaminomethyl)phenylphosphine with the nickel(II), cobalt(II), and zinc(II) acetates.
