The treatment of triphenylphosphine and triphenylarsine complexes of the type (where X=Cl or Br; E=P or As) and with mono and di-seleno bis(βdk) (βdk=acac) leads to the formation of bridged binuclear complexes having the general formula 2Se(C5H6O2)2 and 2Se2(C5H6O2)2.Further, the reactions of and with imidodi(thiocarbonic acid-O-alkyl ester) (alkyl=ethyl, isopropyl) gave a series of new complexes of the type (LL'=imidodi(thiocarbonic acid-O-alkyl ester)>.These complexes have been characterised on the basis of their elemental analysis, IR, electronic spectra, EPR, magnetic moment and cyclic voltammetry. An octahedral geometry has been tentatively proposed for all the complexes.
