The Group 11 metal imino complexes >4>*thf 2 (thf = tetrahydrofuran) and >4(PPh3)2>*6thf 3 have been prepared by the unusual ligand-transfer reactions of the tris(imino)stannate complex Sn3Li*thf with CuCl; both complexes have been shown by crystallography to contain planar Cu4 cores.
