The invention relates to a synthesis method of an antioxidant octa-[beta-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid] tripentaerythritol ester. According to the method, beta-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) methyl acrylate and tripentaerythritol are subjected to transesterification, so as to obtain the solid antioxidant with eight antioxidant groups. The antioxidant octa-[beta-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid] tripentaerythritol ester synthesized by the method is embedded with a lot of phenolic antioxidant groups, and has a good antioxidant effect; and meanwhile, the antioxidant octa-[beta-(3,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionic acid] tripentaerythritol ester product synthesized by the method has relatively high biodegradability as an ester compound, conforms to the environmental protection requirements, and is widely applied to the fields of universal plastics, engineering plastics, synthetic rubber, paints, oils and the like.
