17452-12-9 Usage
Uses
Used in Agricultural Industry:
1-(4-Chlorophenyl)imidazoline-2-thione is used as a fungicide for controlling a broad spectrum of fungal infections in plants and fruits. It serves to prevent the spread of infections in crops, thereby playing a crucial role in agriculture and food preservation.
Used in Pharmaceutical Industry:
1-(4-Chlorophenyl)imidazoline-2-thione is used as a pharmaceutical agent for the treatment of certain parasitic infections in humans and animals. Its antifungal properties make it a potential candidate for therapeutic use in combating parasitic diseases.
However, it is important to note that tiabendazole is known to have low acute toxicity in mammals and is classified as a possible human carcinogen. Therefore, it should be handled and used with caution to ensure safety and minimize potential health risks.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 17452-12-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,7,4,5 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 17452-12:
(7*1)+(6*7)+(5*4)+(4*5)+(3*2)+(2*1)+(1*2)=99
99 % 10 = 9
So 17452-12-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A series of 2-(1-aryl-1H-imidazol-2-ylthio)acetamide [imidazole thioacetanilide (ITA)] derivatives were synthesized and evaluated as potent inhibitors of human immunodeficiency virus type-1 (HIV-1). Among them, the most potent HIV-1 inhibitors were 4a5 (E
Structure activity relationships in reactivators of organophosphorus inhibited acetylcholinesterase. VII. 1 Aryl 2 hydroxyiminomethyl 3 methylimidazolium iodides

, p. 18 - 22,21,22 (2007/10/05)
A series of 1 aryl 2 hydroxyiminomethyl 3 methylimidazolium iodides, where the aryl group is either phenyl or substituted phenyl, was prepared and tested for their reactivating potency on phosphorylated acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and for anti AChE activity. The in vitro testing revealed that some of the new compounds are good reactivators. Correlations between their structure and biological activities have been attempted.
