Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 17530-87-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 1,7,5,3 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 17530-87:
(7*1)+(6*7)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*0)+(2*8)+(1*7)=109
109 % 10 = 9
So 17530-87-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Tin(II) polyoxometalate as an efficient catalyst for the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides

Rafiee, Ezzat,Baltork, Iraj M.,Tangestaninejad, Shahram,Azad, Alireza,Moinee, Sepideh

, p. 601 - 606 (2006)

The applicability of the tin(II) polyoxometalate catalyst, [(n-C 4H9)4N]5PSnMo2W 9O39 · 9H2O, for sulfoxidation of diaryl, dibenzyl, aryl benzyl, dialkyl, cyclic, and

3-Carboxypyridinium chlorochromate - aluminium chloride - An efficient and inexpensive reagent system for the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides and sulfones in solution and under microwave irradiation

Mohammadpoor-Baltork, Iraj,Memarian, Hamid R.,Bahrami, Kiumars

, p. 115 - 121 (2007/10/03)

3-Carboxypyridinium chlorochromate (CPCC) in the presence of aluminium chloride is a very efficient reagent for the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxide and sulfones in solution and under microwave irradiation. It is noteworthy that different functional groups including carbon-carbon double bonds, ketones, oximes, aldehydes, ethers, and acetals were tolerated under these reaction conditions.

Selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides and sulfones using n-butyltriphenylphosphonium dichromate (BunPPh3) 2Cr2O7 in the presence of aluminium chloride in solution and under microwave irradiation

Mohammadpoor-Baltork, Iraj,Memarian, Hamid Reza,Bahrami, Kiumars,Esmayilpour, Karim

, p. 2751 - 2766 (2007/10/03)

A wide variety of sulfides are efficiently oxidized to their corresponding sulfoxides and sulfones in excellent yields using n-butyltriphenylphosphonium dichromate (BTPPDC) in the presence of aluminium chloride in acetonitrile solution and under microwave irradiation. In addition, selective oxidation of sulfides in the presence of functional groups such as a carbon-carbon double bond, ketone, oxime, aldehyde, ether, and acetal can be considered as a noteworthy advantage of this method.
